Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe comes from a multicultural family. She was born in South London. The mother of her child is English and her father Nigerian. Her family was on the south London Council Estate, and then went to The Brit School aged 14. In London she attended The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in which her acting diploma was earned. While at school she appeared in several stage productions, like King Henry V's princess Katherine or Wuthering Heights.
Madekwe started her acting career through the movie Storm Damage. In the years since Madekwe's appearance in Teachers and Doctors. Madekwe made her debut motion-picture role in the Woody Allen film Cassandra's Dream, opposite Colin Farrell and Ewan McGregor. The following year she was cast as Elisha (a BBC Three drama-pilot) in West 10 LDN. Additionally, she starred in Trexx as Ollie and in six episodes of Flipside. In 2008, the actress was offered Bambi as the main character on ITV2's show Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Madekwe starred in the comedy film How to Lose Friends & Get People to Leave. She was also on the screen in Little Sweet Thing, by Roy Williams, and Flight Path written directed by David Watson.
Madekwe's US debut came in 2009, with The thriller The Beautiful Life. The drama aired for just two episodes before it was ended on The CW. Ashley Davenport appeared in ABC drama Revenge in February of 2011. After appearing on the show for the first two seasons, it was reported in late May 2013 that she would quit the show following a guest appearance in the premiere episode from the 3rd season. She starred as Tituba in the TV show Salem from 2014 to 2016. Madekwe and her boyfriend for many years, Iddo Goldenberg, were wedding in June of 2012. They collaborated in the film Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Goldberg also appeared with Madekwe in Salem.
Ashley Leggat grew up in Hamilton Ontario with an extended family. Her parents Roy and Patty and her brothers Brett, Todd, and Bram, were all present. Ashley's siblings, who are all athletes, play baseball during the summer and played hockey during winter. Ashley didn't walk, instead she danced. When she was two and half she discovered Baby Ballet. Ashley was enthralled by dance immediately after that. Ashley was a dancer who competed in all the major divisions up until her graduation from high school. The competitions she participated in included jazz, tap, ballet, pointe and Acrobatics. All of the major dance festivals, like International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers, 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance, have awarded her the honor of "top Soloist".
